Crace

The owners of this Crace garden had a problem with their neighbours’ water run-off, the water was building up behind their retaining wall and seeping down around the house causing it to always be damp.

Canberra Clear developed a plan to pick up the water with a ‘dry creek bed’ constructed out of boulders and oversized pebble. The dry creek bed leads to a ‘wet land’ planting area. A mixture of native plants and deciduous feature trees compliment the native Australia theme.

The owners were delighted with the new paving installed that matched their existing retaining wall, excess water seepage from behind the wall was collected by a drain disguised as a feature pebble strip between the wall and the paving.
